I have been engaged in higher education for over two decades as a faculty member, dissertation chair, and academic administrator. I joined the University of Phoenix in 1997 as a faculty member at the Southern California campus, and during my tenure I’ve held various positions within Academic Affairs and Campus Services. I currently serve as the Vice President of Academic Affairs for the West and Central Districts of the University of Phoenix. In this role, I provide academic oversight and serve as a liaison between the campuses and academic functions within the university.
Over the past 5 years, I have presented and published at academic and business conferences on various topics including organizational downsizing, foundations of assessment, and corporate ethics. I earned a PhD in Organization and Management from Capella University, and my dissertation focused on the impact of downsizing on corporate survivors.
In addition to my academic career, I have been involved in entrepreneurship, training, and motivation. I also serve as a Board Member of Next4Vets, a nonprofit Health Research Institute in Fountain Valley, California. I currently live in Cave Creek Arizona and enjoy traveling and spending time with my children and grandson in California and Minnesota.
