Dr. Fountain earned her Bachelor’s degree in Employee Relations from Michigan State University in 1993. In 2005, Dr. Fountain earned her MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix. On July 8, 2013, Dr. Fountain completed all requirements for the Doctorate in Organizational Management, Leadership Theory and Design with the University of Phoenix. Dr. Fountain successfully defended her dissertation on: Human Resources Professionals Perceptions of Reduction in Force Change and Transition: A Phenomenological Study. Her study has been published by Pro Quest.

Dr. Fountain currently serves as an instructor for Cornerstone University’s Professional and Graduate Studies Division. Dr. Fountain began her journey with Cornerstone University in November 2008. In addition to serving as an instructor, Dr. Fountain has worked with Cornerstone faculty and Synergis Education on content development and peer review for EDL 903, EDL 901, MGT 638, MGT 536, MGT 332, MGT 325, and MGT 317.

Additional Achievement and Activity
Dr. Fountain is the founder and owner of Fountain of Solutions, LLC. Fountain of Solutions is an organization dedicated to providing organizational and human resource services to small and mid-sized organizations. The solutions include strategic planning, operations management and development, human resources consultation, organization and employee assessment, and various training and development options. In fall 2016 Dr. Fountain was key note presenter for Diversity Lansing Executive Leadership Workshop. The topic of the presentation was: Diversity and inclusion, Business Challenges and Rewards.
Dr. Fountain is a founding member of Diversity Lansing. Dr. Fountain presented at the Diversity Lansing Spring Leadership Series in spring of 2017. The topic of the presentation was: Building a Strategic Diversity and Inclusion Platform for Any Sized Organization.
Dr. Fountain attended the 2016 SHRM National Convention in Washington DC and attended all of the leadership series for Executive Officers. Sessions attended included: Workforce Diversity, Megatrends; Global Employment and the Emergence of Generation Z; Three Rules to Creating HR Strategy; Global Influence Trends, Exploring the Influence Styles of 19,000 Global Managers; Principles of Mindful Leadership; Maximizing HR Strategy for Organizational Effectiveness
In fall 2017 Dr. Fountain is attending the ATD Conference on Organizational Development and Leadership in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Fountain is cofounder of the Alliance for Equity and Inclusion which is based in Lansing, MI. The purpose of the Alliance for Equity (AEI) and Inclusion is to serve as an organization and community resource for information and programming. AEI consists of 9 members dedicated to facilitating the difficult and crucial conversations about bias, discrimination, and social justice. The alliance has a several prong focus which includes education, health services, business, and law enforcement.
Dr. Fountain currently serves as Past President of GLSHRM, a regional professional human resource management association. In this role Dr. Fountain is responsible for member growth and outreach. Dr. Fountain also serves as the GLSHRM representative for diversity
and inclusion in various community groups and associations.
