Tina M. Chapman, EdD
My name is Tina Chapman and I currently reside in Norfolk, Virginia. I moved back to the Tidewater area from Houston, Texas in 1992. I have live in Texas, Wales, Germany, and California. I consider Virginia my home. I have acted as a project manager with CMS, TriCare, the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard on the national level and locally with Northrop Grumman?s Newport News Shipbuilding (NGNN) (currently Ingalls Shipbuilding) and Clark Nexsen (mid-size, full-service architectural and engineering firm). Projects include: CMS?s integration of tablets to the surveying of long-term healthcare facilities and hospital survey, the migration of the TriCare regions to Global TriCare, training portion of CONOP for USS Bush, realignment of training rollout for Falconer and AOC IT upgrades, establishment of USCG?s KM site, mitigation of NGNN?s green labor problem, and the establishment of an in-house academy offering CEUs (2,400 to 3,600 annually) for architect and engineers. I am currently a Senior Learning Consultant with WellPoint. Before entering into training and the world of adult education, I spend a decade in the classroom at the high school level. I have earned a B.S. in Secondary Education, M.S. in Educational Supervision and Technology, and Ed.D., in Higher Education Administration, Adult Education, and E-learning. Before earning my doctorate, I considered law school and with my youngest child leaving for college... I have worked and published with students in the Ed.D. and D.M. programs. I have been with the university since 2010.
