Sarah Lee Brown, EdD

I am Sarah Lee Brown from West Virginia. With over 30 years of public school experience, I have taught in every grade k-Adult Basic Education, and at the college level. I have 16 years experience as a public school principal and teacher at the elementary and middle school levels and I have 14 years at the district office where I last worked as Director of C & I for pre-k through adult. After retiring from the public schools, I worked part time for our Regional Education Service Agency as a Technical Assistance Specialist helping schools in need of improvement. Currently I continue to provide technical assistance, teach for a local university, and supervise student teachers in addition to my work for the University of Phoenix. My B.S. in Elementary Education is from Concord College and my M.A. in Ed. Ad. is from West Virginia Graduate College. My Ed. D. in Educational Leadership with a minor in Middle Childhood Education is from West Virginia University in cooperation with Marshall University and West Virginia Graduate College. I am certified in elementary education, educational administration pre k through adult, and social services/ attendance. I have endorsements in math-Algebra I and in middle school education. At the University of Phoenix, I am a Certified Advanced Facilitator in both the master’s and doctoral degree programs. I facilitate courses in curriculum and administration and serve on dissertation committees. In addition, I supervisor student teachers and administrators for the University of Phoenix in the nearby vicinity and mentor new facilitators.
