Sandra Fonseca-Lind

Dr. Fonseca is Full Time Auxiliary Professor of Information Systems, Systems Security & Audit, and Project Management, graduate and undergraduate level. She’s Faculty at the School of Business and School of Advanced Studies (SAS) at University of Phoenix, and visiting professor at Polytechnic University at the IT Assurance and Security Graduate Program. She has over 25 years of experience in the IT field industry, 15 of them as Systems Security Manager. Her research interests are on IT Controls at database and application levels, Incident Handling Techniques, Business Process Reengineering, Big Data Management, and Agile Project Management for Systems Security, IT Cloud Controls Assurance. She holds a Bachelor Degree on Business Administration in Information Systems from University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus; a Master’s Degree in Information Systems (MIS) and a Graduate Certificate in Audit Information Systems from EDP College; Doctoral Degree on Management Information Systems (DBA) from Turabo University, part of Ana G. Méndez Educational System, Graduate Certificate in CyberSecurity Best Practices from University of Fairfax. She also holds the professional certifications CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manger), CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls), and CICA (Certified Internal Control Auditor). She is the Vice President of Education and Certifications of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI).
