Robert Wyatt, BS, MBA, PhD
I earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Denison University (1969), an MBA (1975) and Ph.D. (1983) in business at Golden Gate University. I spend 20 years in corporate HR and 15 years running my own HR consulting and search business. These experiences and my belief in the value of higher education when it is presented as it is by The University of Phoenix, combined with practical business experience, compel me to share the advantages of this experience with others. The majority of my professional career was in human resources, first for Carter Hawley Hale Stores, the parent company for Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman and later as corporate VP of HR for the Bombay Company in Fort Worth where I served until leaving to start a second career in HR consulting and executive search. As an executive search consultant I worked for the boutique firm, Helstrom Turner & Associates, and later with Korn/Ferry International, the largest retained international search firm. As an independent search executive I founded and operated my own firm, R.S. Wyatt Associates, Inc. and also collaborated with other independents including The Ansley Consulting Group. In July of 2014 I accepted the position of Campus College Chair for Business and IS&T for the University of Phoenix Dallas Campus. I have published two articles with James Pepitone, Ph.D. University of Phoenix Lead Faculty/Area Chair Functional Management, and have completed an article with Alan Preizer, Ph.D., formerly CCC School of Business, at the University of Phoenix Nashville Campus. This article was presented at the Academy of Management's Annual Meeting in Anaheim CA, 8.2016. In 2016, in addition to the Academy of Management I made presentations at other events including: the Tech Gender Gap Symposium Series, Co-sponsored by the University of Phoenix Dallas Campus and The Texas Diversity Council and members of AT&T's African American Communications Workers organization nation wide via WebEx. email – firstname.lastname@example.org – M-F 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM C 817.703.8273 W 214.257.2059
