Rob Olding, Ph.D.
Dr. Rob Olding has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University, a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University. He has over thirty-five years of experience in research and practice in cognitive and behavioral psychology, human services, criminal justice and education. He spent twenty years in forensic counseling and psychology with the Arizona Department of Corrections where he served as a Psychology Associate, Superintendent of the diagnostic reception and treatment center, Bureau Chief for offender management and management information services and retired in December 2003 as Assistant Director for the state agency in charge of treatment and educational services. He has taught graduate courses in research, statistics and psychology with the University of Phoenix for ten years and prior to that was a professor and research chair with Western International University. Dr. Olding has numerous conference presentations and publications and has also taught courses for Arizona State University and Rio Salado College. Dr. Olding was previously an Associate Dean for the College of Health and Human Services, the College of Social Sciences and came to the School of Advanced Studies as Associate Dean for Dissertation Research Quality. He is currently the Dean for Assessment with the UOPX School of Advanced Studies (SAS). He has extensive experience in advising for theses and dissertations since 1997, and has been responsible for quality review of dissertations for the SAS from 2010 to July 2014. In his current role he provides oversight for learning assessment operations for SAS.
