Rita Carver, PhD

Rita White Carver, PhD, is a lifelong learner who is committed to helping her students and others become their best. Since 2013, she serves as an associate professor at the University of Phoenix at both the undergraduate and doctoral level. Her passion is to help students maximize their strengths and develop their authentic leadership. For more than 25 years she worked as a consultant helping the leadership of non-profit organizations develop strategic plans, articulate their vision, and make their dreams become reality. Organizations where she has served include: Star of Hope in Houston, TX; Methodist Children's Home in Waco, TX; Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, CA; and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. In 2012, she received her doctorate in leadership studies from Dallas Baptist University. Her research focus at this time is on twentieth century female leaders who changed America. She is a professional writer who has written articles, newsletters, brochures, and funding grants for her clients.
