Rebecca Beck-Little, PhD
Rebecca Beck-Little, Ph.D, RN serves as Dissertation Chair for the School of Advanced Studies and Online Faculty at the University of Phoenix. Dr. Beck-Little earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Western Piedmont Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Masters in Nursing from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Nursing from the University of South Carolina. She served as a staff nurse, mobile intensive care nurse, mental health nurse clinician, and nurse educator in hospitals and schools of nursing in North Carolina. Most recently, she held the position of Dean of the School of Nursing. She has been active in review programs for the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses, self-studies for re-accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Between 2000 and 2013, she taught nursing research, nursing theory, and statistics to graduate students in the School of Nursing at Gardner-Webb University. In 2014 she taught nursing theory and, since that time, has served as dissertation chair and committee member for students in the School of Advanced Studies at the University of Phoenix. Her primary research interests are simulation, healthcare education policies, and online education. She enjoys assisting her students to be successful in achieving their academic goals and staying involved in conducting research and disseminating research outcomes.
