Paul Shuler, PhD

Since 2008, I have facilitated online EDD courses for the School of Advanced Studies (SAS). I also have the pleasure of serving as dissertation committee chair or member for several students. My first dissertation student chose me at the end of 2010 and successfully defended her dissertation in 2012. My background is somewhat dual-focused. In the beginning, business was my sole focus - with a solid management background in accounting/finance and retail along with Business Administration and Marketing Research Statistics (Masters) degrees. But then I fell in love with education and moved into that sector while earning my Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. I have served many roles in education, including curriculum writer, teaching assistant, professor, school director, grant writer, and adjunct faculty, and loved each one of them. Born and raised in the farmland of the Missouri Ozarks, I have lived, worked, and hold degrees from three states: Missouri, Texas, and Oklahoma. While my parents and relatives would disagree with me, I have not strayed far from home, staying in the Mid/SouthWest region and currently live in Oklahoma City with my wonderful wife. We have five successful children living in four states. We always look forward to the Holidays when our quiet home becomes a wonderfully active zoo. :-)
