50+ years in education. Education includes a BM from UGA, MA and EdD from ORU. Since July 2009, I have served as a Dissertation Chair and Committee Member at UoPX. Involved with Research Hub (CEITR) since 2016. Currently serve as Associate faculty working with teams writing scholarly articles for publication. As co-author, publications include five articles featuring virtual reality (VR) and education (2017-2020)and one book chapter (2018). Currently, in light of COVID, two articles are being prepared regarding PD and higher learning. Published article in Phoenix Scholar. Presentations at educational conferences include AECT, TQR, and KWB. Previous educational experience includes: teacher, lower school principal, administrator, curriculum coordinator and writer, research analyst, educational consultant, and flute instructor. Research interests include: curriculum design and instruction, with emphasis on student-centered learning, particularly with emphasis on information technology (IT), VREs, curriculum design and instruction, academic readiness, whole person education, strategic planning, and VREs. In 2013, participated in a committee to consider the set-up and use of IRBnet in SAS. Preferred research methodology is qualitative, phenomenology, case study, directed content analysis, and qualitative narrative inquiry (thanks to Jim Lane). Technological skills include: database search, word processing, spreadsheet, PPT, online instruction and testing, communications, acquainted with Vision, Banner, Blackboard Ultra, NVivo, deDoose. Personal note: I would have loved integrating virtual educational applications into curricula during my earlier educational teaching experiences.
