Patricia A. Parham, Ph.D.

Dr. Parham founded Parham Enterprises in 1987 and has conducted organization development interventions for over 20 years. As a senior internal and independent external consultant, she has worked with public and private sector organizations to build more effective leadership and work forces that overcome challenges in the areas of productivity, cost, safety and diversity. Her forte is identifying and integrating new processes into ongoing work content and procedures to unleash passions and lead to greater effectiveness and creativity. Equally adept at facilitating organizational solutions and coaching executives into higher levels of performance, Parham Enterprises has helped companies increase revenues, improve safety records and align divisions around goals which appear to conflict. Her passion lies in revolutionizing work places to support the maximum development of employees, vendors, owners and stakeholders by clarifying goals and outcomes, generating commitment and loyalty, and coordinating activities to capture synergies. Patricia’s coaching has focused on helping individual managers and directors and leadership teams excel while attaining higher levels of authority and executing changes to improve the quality of work and profits, building high performance teams, improving performance management and developing employees. She has also helped: students negotiate academia to matriculate; mid-career professionals reaffirm or change direction during work transitions; senior managers advance into executive offices; and entrepreneurs overcome obstacles to the growth of their businesses. She has taught teams to peer coach and graduate students to coach. Most recently, Patricia has worked on system-wide change projects at City, Water, Light and Power, Freddie Mac – TX Region, and Commonwealth Edison. Some of Parham Enterprise’s external clients include Consumers Energy Corporation, NASA, Texas Health Resources, Morningstar Farms, and Sandia National Laboratories. As a subcontractor, she has also worked with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and PepsiCo. Dr. Parham teaches at American University in the Masters of Science in Organization Development, in the undergraduate and doctoral programs at the University of Phoenix and in the doctoral program, Capella University. She focuses on Management, Leadership, Group and Organization Development, Diversity and Psychology. Her preference is facilitating experiential learning. At the U. of TX at Arlington, Patricia is teaches two undergraduate courses, Diversity in Organizations and Organizational Behavior, and Managing Careers in a Changing World for the Management MBA. She teaches in Walden University's MBA program and is helping with curriculum development and revisions to change management and conflict courses. Patricia earned a doctorate in Community Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Social Psychology from Smith College in Northampton, MA. She is an alumnus of NTL Institute’s Graduate Student Professional Development Program and The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and is certified in the Meyers-Brigss Type Indicator, Strengthscope, Zenger-Miller’s Frontline Leadership and Acknowledgement programs. Patricia has led and served on the boards of professional, service and religious groups, NTL Institute, The Summit Lighthouse, and local ODNs. She has lent her expertise to numerous after school and alternative educational programs, e.g., Big Sisters, Upward Bound, After School Network, and Earning by Learning. Patricia sings classical music, is an avid tennis fan, and a lifelong learner.
