Nat Rasmussen, PhD, RN

I am Dr. Nat Rasmussen. I originally am from Iowa, but, have lived in Nebraska, Florida, and Maryland. My clinical specialty is adult health nursing. My research interests include pain, circadian rhythms, and sleep. I have presented my research at research conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. I have experience conducting both basic and clinical research. I received my RN diploma from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Sioux City, IA and my PhD in nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. In addition, I have a BSN from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA and a MA from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA. My teaching experience includes teaching in LPN and ADN programs at a community college, and teaching in BSN, MSN, and PhD programs at universities. While working at the National Institutes of Health, I coordinated a number of different training programs and worked with students and fellows in various degree programs. I value my experience and opportunity to work as an educator. My personal interests include traveling, gardening, reading, cooking, etc…
