Michael A. Raphael, Ph.D.

I am principal of M. A. Raphael & Associates, a management consultant group based in Leland, NC, where I do assessments for selection and promotion, seminars and consult with management on organizational issues. I spent over twenty years in top-level management positions in manufacturing, high tech aerospace, and financial service organizations. Positions include: Corporate Manager, Management and Organizational Development for Easco Hand Tools, where I designed and managed the implementation of the function; Management Development Specialist for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, where I forged a variety of programs for a new Division; and Director, Training Research and Development, for the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association, where I developed and evaluated programs through applied reseach for the entire life insurance industry. I have conducted applied research in training program evaluation and development, validity studies, educational research and survey development Since beginning on my own, I have been teaching, some adjunct with a few years full time included, and in various formats including live in classroom and compressed weekend courses and online. I have been teaching online for over ten years now, starting with U of Phoenix. I took a few years 'off' as I had the opportunity to be the Chair of the MS Psychology for Walden as a new degree which was totally virtual. I have also taught for Central Mich. some weekends and on the ground here in CT. I am a Licensed Psychologist in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
