Born to a military family, Michael spent his growing up years overseas, beginning school in England, moving to Panama, and eventually graduating from High School at Seoul American High School in Seoul, Korea. Eventually, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa, a Master of Science from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), and a Doctorate from Argosy University (Sarasota).
Michael enlisted in the US Army in 1966, and was granted a commission as a second lieutenant in the Field Artillery in January 1968. He held positions of leadership at all levels of the Army in Aviation, Field Artillery and Logistics. After 31 years of service, he retired at the rank of colonel, served as Executive Director of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society; "committed to the promotion and protection of the legacy of America’s military heroes, the Recipients of the Medal of Honor". Michael formed Adrian Leadership and Healthcare Consulting, LLC; “Consultant to today’s leaders, providing organizational leadership to improve business operations and performance management practices”. Michael has authored books of poetry and Children’s Illustrated books, Iza and her Magic World. Michael has served s the Management and Strategy Department, School of Business, University of Phoenix, West Florida Campus as Lead Faculty/Area Chair and as the Campus Faculty Academic Liaison. He has taught for the University of Phoenix since June of 2002 in both Management and Strategy and in Human Behavior on Campus and on line.
