Marilyn Dickey, EdD

Dr. Marilyn Dickey is a career educator; she has a rich history of organizational leadership, business management, and information/instructional technology. She holds a doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in information/instructional technology and has extensive experience in the areas of organizational leadership, instructional technology, instructional design, and technology innovations. During her career, Dr. Dickey has administered technology developments for both academic and private industry audiences. She founded Renaissance Consulting, a consulting services company specializing in the integration of technology into course development, student learning, training, and administrative operations. An experienced educator, Dr. Dickey has also taught baccalaureate and graduate courses for other universities, and served as director of information and instructional technology. Her personal, research, and professional interests evolve around all aspects of educational technology. She has presented at academic and industry conferences, including the Academic Forum, Florida Distance Learning Association, and the annual Blackboard Learning Management System Conference. Innovative uses of technologies are frequent presentation topics, and she has spoken on its administration, faculty training, design, and implementation. She currently participates in several professional organizations, including the Florida Distance Learning Association, Florida Virtual Campus, Florida Society of E-Learning Professionals, and the Association of Florida Colleges.
