Leslie Kille, EdD; LCSW
I earned EdD in 1999 in Organizational Leadership and LCSW licensure in 1988. My research has been organizationally based supporting trauma project using Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with sexually abused children/youth living in at-risk environments as Director in a setting with National Institute of Health research under Dr. Alison Salloume, PhD at the University of South Florida. I served as support from the agency for these projects; still occurring to replication initial research with ages 3-8; and also ages 9-17. I have won federal, State and County grants through Office of Violence Against Women (2012); Hillsborough County grant to implement the work of Dr. Robert Macy, PhD International Center of Disaster Resilience for trauma work groups with youth; and parenting curriculum at local Domestic Violence Shelter (The Spring) entitled www.strengtheningfamilies.org). This includes work with Dr. Worley, PhD on Youth with Sexual Behavior Problems. Current areas of focus as Network Manager for Managed Behavioral Healthcare for Florida is with severe and persistent mentally ill, statewide focus for Child Welfare and Healthy Kids outreach and lack of salient resources to serve this population. Past conference presentations have focused on Youth with Sexual Problem Behaviors frequently assessed as Juvenile Sex Offenders, Moving beyond Survival from Sexual Trauma and Domestic Violence and the use of dance, music and theater with Synchrony Productions (three shows annually). Currently work with music therapy producing musical theater in one annual production with Intellectually Disabled Adults (in second year) of www.myprojectfree.com.
