Kathleen (Kat) Barclay, PhD

After teaching elementary to university levels and directing gifted programs for over a decade in Arizona, I transitioned to the high-tech industry, working with a variety of small to multi-billion dollar computer manufacturing companies. Positions included executive management in international sales, communications, and field training/operations. I created, developed, and managed global distance learning programs, including implementation of a worldwide satellite network and implementation of video, CD, and Web-based training for global usage. My specialty since 1996 has been facilitating synchronous (live online) meetings and instruction and am published in the field, including my dissertation on the topic used internationally in programs focused on remote learning. I am a managing partner in Blue Coral Coaching Solutions, working with professionals interested in health and lifestyle improvement. Coaching for successful professional performance and stress management is a specialty, helping individuals eager to maximize productivity for business and personal growth. Holding a PhD in Psychology, with a specialty in Organizational Systems, I have been an international facilitator and conference speaker; member and officer of several Boards and professional organizations; Professor of psychology, leadership and business, research, and doctoral Chair for several Universities; and author of books and journal articles. I hold a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) national HR certification and designation as a certified Coach with an international consulting firm. I am a Certified Positive Psychology Coach and designated internationally as an Solution Focused Business Professional consultant. I am currently training as a Conversation Intelligence Coach.
