Joy Taylor, Ed.D
After 14 years in the classroom, I served two years as an assistant principal, followed by 10 as an elementary school principal. Prior to retirement in 2016, I served as Title I Director for the 10th largest district in the country. This position was near to my heart as I grew up benefiting from the extra services afforded to students coming from low-socio economic homes. This was my opportunity to give back to my community. Since retiring, I continue to work with parent groups to empower them with the tools they need to navigate the complex education system within the district.
