Jessica Price, MA

I'm a Campus Operations Specialist full time at the UOPX Las Vegas Campus. I started teaching at Nevada State College in the Spring of 2015 and so far I've taught Introduction to Women's Studies, Introduction to LGBTQ Studies, and a special topics course on LGBT History. I've taught Women's Studies: Gender, Race, and Class at CSN since 2011 and taught Popular Culture at Franklin University in Ohio before that. I attended the University of Cincinnati for my undergraduate and graduate degrees, both of which are in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I did much of my undergraduate work in Popular Culture - specifically LGBTQ film. My graduate project was on vampire romance novels. One of my essays about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was published in Erin Waggnor's collection "Sexual Rhetoric in the Works of Joss Whedon" and am currently working on research regarding Media Literacy in higher education.
