Jessica deValentino, Ed.D.
Jessica deValentino earned her doctorate from the University of Houston in historical, social, and cultural foundations and two degrees from Houston Baptist University: a Master’s of Education Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science with majors in Biology, Spanish, and Psychology. Throughout her career, Jessica has had the privilege of working in a variety of interesting and challenging positions such as: teacher, technology coordinator, counselor, instructional supervisor, real estate broker (Texas and Florida), writer, and faculty member. Jessica has extensive knowledge of curriculum and instructions has earned numerous certifications from the Texas State Board for Educator Certification including special education, health, technology applications, bilingual generalist-Spanish, business education, biology, Spanish, social studies, agriculture, food & natural resources, gifted and talented, and English as a second language. Jessica also has earned certifications as a school counselor, principal, and superintendent. Jessica is knowledgeable of quantitative and qualitative research methodology and has taught research methodology at the graduate level for many years. Jessica utilized a quantitative multiple regression analysis for her doctoral research study “The Effect of Teachers’ Traits on Job Satisfaction.” In her free time Jessica enjoys writing and has authored How to Lose Weight in the Real World, Sold!, and Brainiac, and she is currently working on her next book titled Gimmick Free Education.
