Jason Gines, M.Ed.

Jason Gines is currently the Campus College Chair of the College of Education for the University of Phoenix (UoPX) in the Central Florida Region. He graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, earned a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from NLU, and is currently coursing a Doctoral degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. A Federal Agent with the US Department of Justice before his career in education, Mr. Gines graduated second place in the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Academy within a field of over three thousand agents, and received an official commendation from Doris Meisner, then U.S. Secretary of Justice. His education career began as a Social Science teacher at Meadow Woods Middle School in Orlando Florida. After achieving the highest learning gains as measured by the FCAT for several years in a row, Jason was promoted to the Orange County Public Schools’ (OCPS) Educational Leadership Center, where he worked as a Title III ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages) Resource Specialist providing instructional and strategic support to multiple schools in Orlando, to include mentoring, instructional coaching, professional development, community outreach/parental involvement, differentiated accountability, response to intervention, and strategic planning. As part of the OCPS District Differentiated Accountability Team, he was instrumental in raising Cypress Creek High School’s school grade from a D to a B in only one year. Mr. Gines was also a response to intervention coordinator at Freedom Middle School and has also held positions as a school administrator, to include Administrative Dean and Assistant Principal. In an administrative role, Jason was part of turning several failing schools around, developing instructional and strategic programs, and raising academic achievement and student success. Now with the University of Phoenix, Mr. Gines’ goal is for UoPX to be the top producer of quality teachers for Central Florida’s school districts.
