I was an Education Administrator. I retired from a 14-year term as former, Campus Vice President then Campus and Academic Director of the University of Phoenix (UOPX) Detroit Campus (14yrs). I utilized my Doctor of Philosophy in Education to understand the needs of students and education administration. During my tenure I launched the first UOPX Student Council and the first UOPX Faculty Community of Scholars.
I am a Research Scholar: My research includes: Woman of Circumstance or Woman of Privilege- Exploring the Impact of Cultural Identifiers on Women’s Leadership Styles- a phenomenological study; Profiles in Courageous Entrepreneurship: A Narrative Study, and more.
I am an Author: Most recent publication is in Women Courageous Leading Through the Labyrinth. I penned Chapter Eleven titled Courage a Seven-Letter Word that Saved a Non-Profit – published on Amazon (January 2022). My book, titled Hear Me! See Me! Be Me! Experiences of African American Women in Leadership©, is in production. I have published articles in Phoenix Scholar and the Journal of Leadership Educators
