Dr. J. Medgar Roberts is a career educator currently practicing his craft in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex. A double Phoenix Alumnus, Medgar completed his Masters degree in Administration and Supervision at the University of Phoenix then continued to complete his Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a focus in Educational Technology. Medgar has served as a debate coach, theater director, social media manager, literary magazine editor, English teacher, and campus instructional technologist among other responsibilities. Prior to attending the University of Phoenix, Medgar attended the United States Naval Academy and Mercer University. He currently serves as a Teacher Specialist/Instructional Coach.
Medgar currently serves the community of scholars at University of Phoenix as a Senior Fellow for the Center of Education and Instructional Technology Research. He was recognized as Duncanville Independent School District Teacher of the Year, State of Texas Commended Teacher of the Year, and was nominated for the Oluko Fellowship in Diversity Studies for the National Network of State Teachers of the Year. He is currently engaged in scholarship with the University Research Hub, Knowledge Without Boundaries, and is deeply engaged in research with his school community. Medgar focuses his work on instructional technology, social media, and workplace diversity.
