Higher education professional committed to learner success with over 21 years of experience teaching face-to-face working with K-12 learners and adult continuing education students as a Computer Science/Business Instructor. And, facilitating Critical Thinking, Adult Education, Sociology, Ethics, Academic Success, Business, Introduction to Computers/Microprocessors, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources, Information Technology Management courses with the use of Pearson Learning Studio, WebCt, Blackboard, Peoplesoft, Angel, eCollege, Centra7, Adobe Connect, Sakai, Breeze, Educator, Canvas, Schoolology, Brightspace, Moodle, and Kaltura.
I like to consider my teaching methods and philosophy to be continually evolving and open to change, with an interest in new ways of learning things to enhance my teaching experience and the experiences of others. There are three categories that influence my teaching philosophy: Learning in conjunction with personal experience, flexibility, and motivation.
I have also worked as an Economic Self Sufficiency Specialist with the Department of Children and Families and as a Resource & Referral Counselor with Family Central Inc in the state of Florida. Both positions involved interacting with diverse populations during one on one interviews. Written and verbal interaction with the child support unit, fraud unit, and Workforce one agency and keeping track of client compliance with state regulations for assistance eligibility.
