I have an Ed.D. in Higher Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Training from Amberton University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology: Human Development and Learning from the University of Texas-Dallas.
I am currently an adjunct faculty member at Texas A&M University-Commerce teaching face-to-face, online, and blended graduate level courses in Research Methods, Curriculum Development, and Philosophy of Education and undergraduate level course in Community College Curriculum and at the Dallas County Community College District (Richland and Eastfield Colleges) teaching Learning Framework courses.
In addition, I have over 20 years experience in management as a human resources director and consultant in higher education and other industries. I have experience in planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating professional management development programs as part of the role of human resources director and consultant. I have also been a member of the senior management team at two financial institutions in the Dallas area. I am a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) conferred by the Society for Human Resource Management.
I have experience with multiple forms of research as evidenced by my teaching research methods, my role as an editor/reviewer for a number of academic journals, my publication record, and my 18 graduate hours in research.
I enjoy playing the piano and am a graduate gemologist as hobby interests. I live in Rockwall, Texas with my husband Don and our two dogs, Sunshine and Sparkle.
