Edilberto A. Raynes, MD, PhD

As a practicing pediatrician from a foreign country, Dr. Edilberto Raynes has committed his practice serving the underserved population in the country where he earned his medical degree. He has dedicated his medical career to excellence in serving as a community healthcare provider. He conducted research on knowledge, attitudes, and practices on diarrheal management among Muslim mothers while he was in medical school. As an academician, Dr. Raynes has been implementing different pedagogies in enhancing students’ academic performance such as flipped classroom. As a scholar practitioner, Dr. Raynes has published and presented in peer-reviewed venues in different topics, to name a few, health disparities, physical therapy, climate change, asthma, childhood obesity, and other public health issues. He understands the gap on health disparities and the impact on health promotion and prevention.
