Daryl Smith, MBA

I was born and raised in northern New Jersey. I received by Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science and a graduate level Program Management Certification from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). In 1996, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and obtained a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). Since the summer of 1987 I have traveled around the country working for corporate America and in the public-sector, such as New York City Housing Authority, Nabisco Brands, Pepsi Cola, EDS, Nextel Communications, BellSouth, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. I have over 25 years of information technology and computer science experience, 20 years in the telecom industry. I am Senior Technical Architect encompassing Enterprise, Infrastructure, and Solutions. Knowledge in IT infrastructure, strategical planning, architectural design, enterprise solutions, capacity planning, business process improvements, data center infrastructure, data center air cooling strategies, capacity planning, system performance, security, automation, migrations, disaster recovery, and hands-on implementations. I am highly involved in the community, my fraternity and a non-profit foundation established for education. My hobbies are golfing, exercising, traveling, and motorcycles.
