Dr. Dale is a faculty member/dissertation chair for the College of Doctoral Studies at the University of Phoenix since 2008. He currently teaches in K12, the Higher Education Administration (HEA) program, and research courses (quantitative/qualitative) for all College of Doctoral Studies programs. He is also a University Research Methodologist (URM). Previous to his role on the Higher Education Administration faculty council he was the Area Chair for Research. Dale is a contracted peer reviewer for Sage Publications, one of the world’s largest research publishers. In October, 2016 he co presented presented two peer reviewed presentations (Pecha Kucha & Concurrent Session) at the annual convention of the Association for Educational and Communications Technology (AECT) on the following topics: Knowledge Based Artificial Augmentation\ Intelligence Technology: The Next Step In Academic Instructional Tools and Knowledge Based Artificial Augmentation Technology: The Next Generation of Scholarly Writing Academic Tools. In 2013 he co presented at the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) on private social networking and a paper on AI simulation technologies in the online setting was presented at the 2015 CCME Annual Symposium. He has made other conference presentations pertaining to instructional/educational technology including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Paris (Sorbonne). He earned a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University, a PhD. in Instructional Technology and Education from Wayne State University, and was a former faculty member/administrator at the University of Michigan, Wayne State University, and Siena Heights University. As a former Air Force enlisted member and Army officer, Dale likes working with dissertation students who are current or former military members. Currently as a CEITR fellow, Dr. Dale along with doctoral graduate Dr. Martin Lapierre published two peer reviewed journal articles in 2017 and 2018 entitled. Using Artificial Augmentation Intelligence for the Next Generation of Scholarly Writing Tools, Vol 61 No. 5 2017 Virtual/Mixed Reality:Next Generational Users of Instructional Tools for K-12 and Higher Education, International Journal of Conceptual Structures and Smart Applications. In August of 2019 Dr. Dale along with Dr. Shaila Wong (Dr. Dale was her dissertation chair) published a study entitled, Persistence and Engagement Among First-Year Hispanic Students, in the Journal of Multicultural Education, vol. 13 no. 2. In 2019 Dale was awarded Faculty of the Year (excellence in teaching) and appointed to the University Academic Council as a voting member.
On a personal note Dr. Dale resides in Oregon with his wife Sara and their two Shiba Inu dogs Koko and Shayna. In addition, Dr. Dale holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating and is a PADI certified Dive Master. Since they live approximately 15 minutes from the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (Starts and the Mexican border and ends at the Canadian Border) he likes to take hikes on the trail (Not the whole distance of course :( ) with Koko and Shayna. Finally, Koko and Shayna take Dr. Dale to agility training every Sunday and both dogs are certified advanced agility dogs.
