Annette Ponzio, DBA
Dr. Annette M. Ponzio, also known as “Dr. Ponz”, maintains over 37 years as an electrical utility industry specialist. Dr. Ponzio, has earned recognition and respect as an industry leader in the field of engineering design and construction for electrical utility sub-station, transmission, overhead distribution, buried distribution, and underground network systems; specializing in 69kv; 23kv; and 12.47kv transmission and distribution systems. As a Certified Power Quality Professional, Dr. Ponzio holds extensive expertise in Power Quality Systems Research and Analysis with proven techniques in solution guidance and transient voltage mitigation and implementation. Dr. Ponzio has fostered a tactical support network and nurtured professional relationships with state and municipal governing officials to examine and review the applications of code compliance and regulatory requirements of the NJ Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), the Public Utilities Commission (PUC), the National Electrical Code (NEC), and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) mandates.
Dr. Ponzio, an alumna, had earned a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree, and an MBA with an emphasis in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Ponzio also holds the distinction of membership in Delta Mu Delta, the International Honor Society in Business Administration. Dr. Ponzio has championed the call for diversity and mentorship in the workplace, and as a strong role model, continues to sponsor leadership in the LGBTQ community. A recent work authored by Dr. Ponzio is the "Evolving Attitudes toward Lesbians and Gay Men in Government Unions: Case Study". This work is a critical observation of a government work environment where an embedded organizational culture is slowly changing toward a more tolerant environment for LGBTQ individuals.
