Alleen Porter, B.S., M.S., M.A.,Ed.S

Hi! My name is Alleen Porter and I am a district administrator with Chareston County Schools. I have been a public school teacher for 8 years where I served on various committees to develop a growth model assessments for students in my local district. I worked as a Master Teacher and Curriculum Coordinator for the Teacher Advancement Program where I was responsible for providing professional learning to two high needs schools. I was also tasked in assisting the school district with implementation of the value-added model across the entire district. I have worked as an Assistant Principal and Principal where my primary responsibility was to assist the district in the development of instructional models and providing teachers with support in the classroom. My primary goal was to set high expectations and rigorous learning goals for students. I served as a Professional Development for 2 years in my present district and was responsible for providing teachers with specific target goals for continuous improvements in the classroom along with a professional development plan for improved instruction. Presently, I am a MTSS/PBIS Specialist and provide district wide supports and strategies for implementation of positive supports for functional behaviors. My research study focuses on teacher merit pay and its influence on student achievement.
