Aleta Best, Ph.D., PMP
Aleta Best received her Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Texas A&M University, where she was a graduate research assistant and the instructor for five different undergraduate management courses.. Aleta was a systems analyst with The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) and Hudson County Community College, conducting user requirements analyses and implementing new payroll and personnel systems in the United States and Canada. While pursuing her MBA, she served as a small business consultant and taught introductory computer programming courses at Guilford Technical Community College in North Carolina. After receiving her doctorate, Aleta was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. A two-time recipient of the Thomas J. Higginson Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence, she taught undergraduate and MBA business courses and chaired several academic conferences. Since 2001, Aleta has a been a senior analyst with the Department of Transportation, working first on economic regulatory issues domestically and internationally with the European Union and China. She is currently a program manager and risk analyst with the Federal Aviation Administration. Aleta has been an SAS instructor since 2004 and has chaired and served on numerous dissertations.
