Autoethnography

Autoethnography is a methodology that begins with the researcher as the site of study. The approach is intended to be evocative, stimulating memories of the past. Those memories may be poignant, painful, and perhaps embarrassing.   They reveal the researcher’s vulnerability, but through that revelation he learns more about himself and his practice.  The autoethnographer sees the universal through the particular.
