Should a New Hampshire Public School District Engage in Social Work?

Abstract:

New Hampshire school districts were uncertain about hiring School Social Workers.  Was there a need for this position in a school or district?  Teachers were surveyed to determine their perceptions of the role of the guidance counselor, school social worker and school psychologist and to determine need for a staff member who could work with family in addition to the school setting, thereby linking the school and the home.
