Effects of Discussion Rubrics on Promoting Higher Order of Thinking in Online Discussions

Abstract: 

A rubric was written for discussion participation in the online environment.  A study was proposed using the Practical Inquiry Model to determine if responses involved higher order thinking skills when a rubric was utilized in the course.
