Leadership Practices of Elementary Principals Who Have Narrowed the Race Based Academic Achievement Gap

Project Description: 

Nicole Bell, doctoral candidate in the SAS, is conducting a study of a Colorado school district has been deeplyl involved in leadership training in the areas of race, ethnicity, and culture since 2003.  I served as one of the trainers of "Beyond Diversity" when the project began and have followed Nicole's work ever since then. The district requires training for leaders and staff at the district, school, and individual levels so that increased student achievement across all grades is increased.

This qualitative project explores comparative expectations of faculty and student across various online institutions and how these expectations influence student learning outcomes.  Findings inform how online institutions inform faculty efficiency and student satisfaction. 

Sub-Sahara Africa Entrepreneurship: A Cultural Approach

Project Description: 

We know little about how cultural differences drive differences in entrepreneurship behavior in Sub-Sahara Africa. This project is looking for faculty or students who are interested in this region and is passionate about developing economic growth in this region.
