About Our Research Centers

The School of Advanced Studies is deeply committed to continuing to grow our culture of scholarship. As a part of our commitment to a culture of scholarship, the School launched research centers in 2014. These centers are designed to foster discipline-specific advanced learning communities for our doctoral students and faculty. They are organized to help make a meaningful social contribution to their communities and influence change in their fields through refining research skills and building theoretical knowledge.

Center for Educational and Instructional Technology Research

This research center focuses on studying the improvement of the quality of teaching and learning, exploring issues and challenges related to online education, and investigating global trends and issues in higher education.

Research Interests: Learning Environments, Educational Technology, Online and Distance Education, Instructional Media, Instructional Design, Online Dissertation, Cross Cultural Education, Global Trends in Education, Diversity in Education

Center for Leadership Studies and Educational Research

The mission of this research center is To be recognized, through scholarly leadership,  as the most trusted provider of career-relevant research concerning the practitioner doctorate degree in higher education for advancing the professional life of working adults.

Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research

This research center brings together scholars across various disciplines to support existing research agendas and generate new and innovative ideas for future research initiatives in the topics of workplace diversity and inclusion.

Research Interests: Organizational Diversity Socialization, Leading through Inclusion, Conflict Management, Member Identity and Sense-making, Group Dynamics
