In the last few weeks I have shared several academic organizations that sponsor conferences, journals and other forums for discussion about learning analytics. This acadenic organization also offers some excellent resources for scholars in the area of learning analytics. I hope that it is helpful for you and your research.
Center for Learning Analytics Research Newsroom
This recent HBR article suggests that the quality of patient care may improve, while costs may decrease given recent developments in applied learning analytics. A component of this improvement is the fact that technology is enabling the sharing of information between patient and provider. Also, this technology will be adaptive in that it will also enable the dynamic, real-time, discovery of patient trends through augmented analytics. Of course, "wearable technology" already offers similar benefits for other industries.
