It is our great pleasure to share the news that 9 studies from CEITR will be presented at AECT, Oct 17-21, 2016, Las Vegas. 16 faculty members and 1 doctoral student were involved in completing these studies.

“The Effect of a Reading Comprehension Software Program on Student Achievement in Mathematics” has been published at the International Journal of Cognitive Research in Science, Engineering and Education. This publication resulted in Dr. Proudfoot being invited to serve on the Editorial Board for the International Journal of Cognitive Research.
This week’s spotlight focuses on University of Phoenix dissertation chair and faculty member, David Proudfoot, Ed.D. He earned his doctorate in 2007 and has been working with the School of Advanced Studies since then as an associate faculty and dissertation chair. Prior to that he served as an educational administrator, often teaching educational programming and administration.

The article with title of "Issues and Challenges for Teaching Successful Online Courses in Higher Education: A Literature Review” by Drs. Mansureh Kebritchi, CEITR chair, Angie Lipschuetz, SAS program dean, and Lilia Santiague, SAS associate dean, has been accepted for publication at Journal of Educational Technology Systems (ETS). Congratulations!
The article of Drs. Keri Heitner and Miranda Jennings, CEITR researchers, with the title of “Culturally Responsive Teaching Knowledge and Practices of Online Faculty” has been accepted for publication at Online Learning. The article was developed based on one of CEITR 2015 fellowship projects. Congratulations!
