Dr. Lequisha Brown, SAS faculty member and CEITR member was elected Vice President of Finance and Development for the Culture Learning and Technology (CLT) Division of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT).
The AECT is a forward thinking organization that holds conferences, supports professional development, and publishes journals and other materials of interest to scholars and practitioners around the world. Dr. Brown will assume her new position with the 2500 member organization at the October, 2018 conference in Kansas City, Kansas.
Dr. Elizabeth Johnston, Dr. Jerry Olivas, Dr. Patricia Steele, Dr. Cassandra Smith, and Dr. Liston Bailey received confirmation that their chapter titled Virtual Reality Pedagogical Considerations in Learning Environments was published in Student-Centered Virtual Learning Environments in Higher Education(chapter 2) published by IGI Global and edited by Marius Bobac and Selma Koc.

Cogent Education publishes CEITR research team article
A team of five researchers from the Center for Educational and Instructional Technology (CEITR) will publish in Cogent Education in February, 2018. The authors are Patrick Turner, Elizabeth Johnston, Mansureh Kebritchi, Sally Evans, and David Heflich. The open access article will be published online in February and will be available at the DOI below at that time. The article has significance for both professional practice and scholarship.
