Recent doctoral graduate, Dr. Paula Miller accomplished great achievements. Please join us congratulating, Dr. Miller and her chair and committee members, Dr. Weinbaum, Dr. Connelly, and Dr. Ritter.

  • Dr. Miller was selected by the Southern California Public Health Association (SCPHA),  to receive the 2015 SCPHA Antronette Yancey Physical Activity/Fitness Award. The Southern California Public Health Association (SCPHA) award recognizes the best of past and present leadership concerned with ensuring the healthiest quality of life for Southern Californians. The award is presented at the 2015 SCPHA Annual Conference on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the California Endowment’s Center for Healthy Communities at 1000 N. Alameda Street, Los Angeles CA 90012. The awards will be presented during the hosted reception that will take place immediately following closing remarks.
  • Dr. Miller presented a lunch health seminar in Los Angeles County, Department of Public Health based on her doctorate dissertation. She was featured in the Southern California Public Health Association Newsletter.
  • Dr. Miller is submitting a journal manuscript based on her dissertation with the title of “University Students’ Exercise Behavior Reflects Stages of Change According to the Transtheoretical Model” to the journal of Health Education & behavior.
