Identify Perceived Causes of Resistance

The Leadership Challenge Activities Books includes tools, tips, and techniques for extraordinary training delivery; Suggestions for activity facilitation, an overview of The Five Practices Model and a broad selection of activities for each of The Five Practices. While primarily designed for classroom training sessions, the activities can easily be adapted for one-on-one coaching situations, educational classroom, setting, or web-based learning sessions. James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner are the coauthors of The Leadership Challenge. They also developed the highly-acclaimed Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) a 360pdegree assessment tool based on The Five Practices.

Abstract:

Change in organizations is inevitable.  Some change is evolutionary and some is deliberate. This assessment activity allows leaders to work with employees who are going through a change process to identify their actual reasons for the resistance to those changes. The assessment assists leaders to better understand employees' views. This is especially important when considering whether change is a personal issue or systemic in nature.
