As the leader of the Center for Learning Analytics, I am putting together research groups to focus on specific topics in learning analytics. Blackboard, which is an educaitonal platform used by many educational institutions, offers its own proprietary learning analytics platform. Of course, nearly all learning platforms over the prior two decades have offered some sort of learning analytics platform. However, more advanced and developed platforms are now available to help understand student performance online.
