Dr. Kimberly Underwood, University Research Chair for the Center for Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Research, was recently featured in the HR DIVEIn a segment on on employee learning in the workplace, Underwood discusses her research, and how psychology plays an extensive role in employee training. Within this articel, she notes the importance of organizations strategizing arounfd the new employee socialization process.  According to Underwood, "Effective organizational diversity socialization largely depends on the extent to which employees believe their identity is accepted within the organizational culture and how this identity is tied to the mission and values of the organization. This can lead to either a successful socialization process or dysfunctional behavior such as biased decision making, incivility or an inability to assimilate within teams."

Congratulations to Dr. Underwood on this recognition!
