Phoenix Scholar Special Education Edition: Reshaping Education Through Innovation

University of Phoenix has released the 12th edition of the Phoenix Scholar™, Special Education Edition, focused on reshaping education through innovation in response to the pandemic. Recent global events including the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated rise of digital technology have disrupted educational systems from K-12 to higher education. In response to these conditions, the Special Edition explores innovative approaches to address the disruption, reshape educational systems, and support teaching and learning. This special edition includes a collection of reflections from University of Phoenix leaders. The reflections illuminate how University of Phoenix responded to the pandemic, and evolved into a more robust organization by adopting innovative strategies.

This Special Edition is hosted by the UOPX College of Doctoral Studies’ Center for Educational and Instructional Technology (CEITR). "As the implications of the pandemic endure, the need to identify and adopt strategies to address the implications has become more essential than ever," stated Mansureh Kebritchi, Ph.D., the guest editor of the Special Education Edition and Chair of CEITR. It is hoped that the perspectives and educational approaches shared in this edition can be applied to similar contexts, helping organizations improve their quality of teaching and learning and manage future disruptions more effectively.
