Building a Sense of Belonging in Online Learning
We are excited to report Dr.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Whitepaper, produced by Dr. Kimberly Underwood, extends the potentials from the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce event.
Dr. Kimberly Underwood has been continuously at the forefront of the diversity, equity and inclusion conversation, most especially as social issues emerged and became prominent during 2020 and 2021. From her long-tailed research project on 100 Black Male Educators in early 2019, to serving as primary editor for a special edition of the Phoenix Scholar on Diversity, she continues to foster the need for more inquiry and insight into the area of multicultural research. This July, Dr. Underwood also gained more momentum on the subject, having been asked to serve as webcast moderator for a panel discussion on Diverrsification in the "New Normal" webcast, and in tandem, helped lead a symposium series of articles on diversity published in the same month in the Journal of Leadership Studies! Dr. Underwood's current achievement, a Whitepaper titled Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, in coordination with the Arizona Hispnaic Chamber of Commerce, marks another research milestone by investigating how companies can help increase and promote DEI practices. Peter Cohen opens the Whitepaper by recognizing the efforts of the imperative for DEI and how UOPX is helping contrinnbute to the discussion.
