Strategic Planning for a Community College Student’s Job Search

This interactive workshop will focus on actionable strategies that community college professionals can use to aid students in gaining a better understanding of who they are and key areas of focus when exploring career options. Participants will learn how to walk students through three strategic planning processes that have been adapted for individual career planning and finding one’s passion. These are the Environmental Scan, the SWOTT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats, and Trends), and the Organizational Culture Assessment.

The NJ Center for Student Success, which is part of the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, works collaboratively with all 19 community colleges in New Jersey to increase successful experiences and outcomes for community college students.
