Cell Phones as Assessment Tools: Not a Classroom Distraction

Educators are beginning to take advantage of students having their cell phones in class by using them as the technology tool for many activities, including assessments. Our team of researchers and educators will share the experiences of not only the team members, but those of others we have identified and gathered information from in our research efforts. Tools such as Google Classroom’s assessments, Kahoot, Achieve3000; Flocabulary; Nearpod and Brain Pop will be discussed, as well as potential for standardized testing, either throughout the school or beyond.
