Chasing Financial Freedom Series

A community partnership was established to deliver practical workshops throughout 2015.  The first quarter (Jan - Mar) were developed as a partnership with Nanmei Chin, Sr. Financial Analyst with Prudential.  In fall of 2014, Mr. Chin and I developed the curriculum for the workshop series and delivered them on Jan 10, Feb 28, and March 28, 2015.  There are many materials for these that I have not attached but have provided the first ppt and handout/worksheet as an example.  In 2017, we have plans to turn the materials into a published workbook.  Mr. Chin serves as the SME and I am the curriculum designer and creator of the materials, the structure of the workshop, and collect the end-of-workshop quality surveys from participants.  The community was invited to attend as well as flyers were distributed to colleges and universities in the local area.  Both Mr. Chin and I presented materials during the workshops.

Abstract:
Financial pressure has long been one of the great stressors of life. This workshop series presented the three enemies to personal financial freedom: taxes, debt, and inflation. The goal of this series is to provide a foundation of knowledge to people who do not have a strong background in personal finances and could be confused as to how to make the most of their money. A practical approach that is easy to understand with specific worksheets for the participants was key.
