Digital Natives, Media and Learning: Implications for the Future of Army Training


Soldiers from this generation have a 21st century mindset and have never known life without a computer. An important consideration and discussion topic for training developers today has to do with the right conditions of learning for this population of soldiers. Arguably, in order to create engaging and useful training for those considered to be digital natives, designers should allow for flexible adjustments in the use of technology and media within lesson contexts, to include both offline and online activities.
